“Duality” depicts an inner battle with ourselves, holding on to past experiences that can prevent us from moving forward.  

The figures can appear to be embracing one another, but also can be interpreted as one figure struggling to carry the other. This represents the subconscious bias to former experiences making movement in a healthy direction much more difficult.
