Collection: Homecoming Collection

"Homecoming" is a deeply personal exhibition by Demit Omphroy, born from a period of grief and introspection. In the wake of his grandmother's passing, Omphroy returns to his late grandparents house, a place he has called home throughout his childhood, transforming it into a temporary studio. In complete solitude, this space imbued with memories and echoes of his past, becomes the crucible for a new body of work.
This exhibition is an act of remembrance and healing. Omphroy's signature bold colors and simplified, expressive forms become a visual language for navigating loss, sadness, and the search for solace. The paintings on display are tangible manifestations of a personal journey, each stroke a step in the artist's process of confronting grief and finding meaning.

For his first solo exhibition, “Homecoming" also signifies Omphroy's return to his roots in the Bay Area, a literal and metaphorical journey. The exhibition explores the complex dynamics of family, the weight of generational experience, and the transformative power of art to process and transcend personal pain.
Viewers are invited to witness this intimate exploration, to connect with the raw emotion embedded in each piece, and to find resonance in the shared human experience of loss and remembrance. This exhibition is a testament to the artist's ability to transmute personal grief into a powerful and universal expression of healing.

From this exhibition, comes two limited print runs of artworks:

1) Day with Grandpa (Limited Edition of 10 prints)

and

2) Mother and Child (Limited Edition of 10 prints)
